  1. Beautiful service. The value and love of family was so clear ♥️♥️ Love to you Ev and Caroline and families

  2. The service was outstanding , A grandson playing the back pipes in Scottish dress, brought a lot of emotion to all of us. Thank you uncle George, for being a part of our life . Every time you came back to visit your beloved Scotland, you never forgot us, and always took those extra miles, and time, to come and see us, for a few weeks in Overmere-Belgium. It was a pleasure to have you, and we counted the years in between, waiting to welcome you in our home again. As they never knew my dad and mum, Cathy and Cliff saw you, uncle George as their loving grandfather ! We always will remember you dearly uncle George, you where a very special person to us all ! Cheerio ! Our thoughts are with you all, keep safe, God bless you all .

  3. It was a special time, when I was just 18 years old and I was introduced to George, as I started my electrical apprenticeship with Lane and Roux. He was, and still is the most encouraging electrical supervisor I have ever worked with. He was such a happy man to be around, a father figure for all of us during our time. In later years I was reunited with him through Gary and Ev. His love that he showed to us, set an example of who we should be.
Now 50 years on from our first meeting George I wish you Cheerio mate, give Carol a hug for us. Howie and Andy.

  4. George was such a wonderful man and I am so lucky that I got to meet him. He will forever be remembered as a loving grandfather and doting dad. I have such fond memories of him with Ev and Gary at the beach, playing Rummikub (even though we somehow all seemed to play by different rules). What a legacy he has left behind and what a life he led – how incredible to see grandchildren grow into adulthood and thrive.

  5. Monday would have been the most heart breaking day for me and my family along with others who met him or know him.
Our Grandfather/ Great-grandfather/ Father or Father in law passed away.
He was a fighter and he tried his hardest to fight through cancer.
He will always be remembered as the grandfather or role model in our lives the most brightest person ever. He always thought of others before himself.
I will always remember you as the Great- Grandfather who spoke to me about Melbourne stars or just cricket in general or footy, the Great- Grandfather who would take care of me when I was on my school holidays and watched keeping up the Appearances we would laugh none stop about that.
Thank you for not just being you but being there for everyone when we were to shy to say anything. We will miss you and think about you always.

  6. There are moments in life where you lose someone you love and on Monday we lost our Grandfather/ Great-Grandfather , he died after a long hard battle with Cancer. He lived a fulfilling life, filled with love and joy. He always thought of others before himself. We will keep your memory alive and never ever forget you. You were the most amazing Grandfather I could ever have asked for. I will always remember my Monday’s and Friday’s spending quality time with you.
May you Rest In Peace ❤️❤️

  7. We are very fortunate to have wonderful memories of George.
He was a lovable, kind and caring person who related to people from all walks of life.
He would have been extremely proud of the Scottish farewell particularly Caleb’s playing of the bagpipes. His legacy will live on through his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Love Wendy & Francis Jackson

  8. Lovely service, you all spoke beautifully.

Uncle George is now reunited with his beloved Carol.

We cannot measure the influence you and Carol have had on the lives you’ve touched, only know that your prayers and words have been greatly appreciated. A wonderful role model of a life well lived. Many blessings.

  15. For those today remembering a very special and wonderful man my love and thoughts to you all.In my memory and etched in my heart is a man who collected me many years ago from Tullarmarine to take me, a newly married person, to meet my future in laws without Ron. It was a daunting ride, however George’s love, care, empathy and humour on that drive helped me over that time when I met my Melbourne family. and each visit thereafter George and Carol were always on my must visit list before returning home.. over the recent years I have always loved our Christmas and mid year (very long) phone calls. Rest well George. Love Anne
