  1. Our family condolences to the Freeman family and to Lesley’s nieces nephews and friends. She was a remarkable woman with whom I met in 1986 and again in September 2003. During those years we always corresponded and both Lesley and Moira were so happy to know more of the Irish history of our family which originates with their Mother Rita Flanagan Giblin. Rita was an Irish nurse who immigrated to Tasmania, then Melbourne after meeting her Husband In Cairo during WWI in 1915. We were cousins and I will miss our Skype conversations and letters that continued to connect us during the last 35 years. May she Rest In Peace. May her memory be a Blessing to all of us until we meet again. With love and gratitude – Maureen Verdon Butt ( San Francisco California )
